Brittany or Bretagne occupies a large peninsula in the north-west of France, lying between the English Channel to the north and the Bay of Biscay to the south. While Brittany's most popular summer resorts are on the south coast, the northern part is pristine and more exposed. It took us 10 days to walk along about one third of the northern coast, enjoying this impressive countryside with its quiet villages and friendly people.
