Stockholm is one of the world's most beautiful capitals. Built on 14 islands Stockholm is located at the boundary between the Mälaren Lake, Sweden's third largest freshwater lake, and the Baltic Sea. Stockholm is sometimes called Venice of the North for its many bridges and (natural) waterways (it has this name in common with St.Petersburg and Amsterdam). The Swedish capital offers a wealth of museums, theatres, sights, attractions and events (especially during summer).
