The Anatolian peninsula (also called Asia Minor), comprising most of modern Turkey, is one of the oldest continually inhabited regions in the world. Due to its strategic location astride two continents, Turkey's culture has a unique blend of Eastern and Western tradition and offers an immense cultural heritage.
